Your Pipelines and their Statuses are one of the fundamental pieces of Fundstack. You'll use the Pipelines to visualise the flow of entities from Status to Status as they progress forward.

When you first open up Fundstack, you'll be greeted by your default Deal Flow Pipeline. This guide will walk you through altering this initial Pipeline to fit your needs. For more in-depth instructions, see here.

First, you'll need to access the Pipeline settings which can be found at Admin > Organisation > Pipelines.

Step 1: Editing Deal Flow Status Names

To edit the name, hover over the Status name and click the edit icon. You'll then be able to enter any name you like.

Step 2: Setting a Status' Group

A Status' group is effectively a sub-pipeline. For example, the default Deal Flow Pipeline has 'Deal Flow', 'Portfolio', and 'Inactive'. These groups can be used to filter your Pipeline Kanban view.

To change the group that a Status is within, simply click the dropdown menu and select the new group.

Step 3: Setting a Status' Target Completion Time

The target complete time of a Status is the amount of time that you want an entity to be within that Status before it is highlighted as being overdue. For instance, you may want to review all deals within two weeks, so you'd set the Review Status' target completion time at 14 days.

To change the target completion time for a Status, simply click the dropdown menu and select the appropriate time period.

Step 4: Setting if a Status Requires a Comment

Often when an entity moves from one Status to another a comment by the mover would be useful for providing context. To require a comment when an entity is moved into a Status, simply toggle the 'Require Comment' button.

Step 5: Selecting Your Default Status

When an entity is first added to a Pipeline, a default Status will be automatically selected. You can change which Status is selected by ticking the 'Default' button.

Step 6: Adjusting Status Order

You can adjust the order that Statuses appear on your Pipeline Kanban view by clicking and dragging the far right icon on the Pipelines panel.

Step 7: Adding Statuses

You can add Statuses to a Pipeline by clicking the 'Add Status' button. Be weary though, once a Status is added it can't be removed - it is advised to instead change the name of current Statuses until you need extra Statuses.

Step 8: Adding another Pipeline

In a lot of cases users want to have multiple Pipelines, one for Deal Flow and one for Fundraising for instance. To create another Pipeline simply click the 'Create Pipeline' button and follow the previous steps once again.
